The Next Chapter for Wired Wits: Truth, Tools, and What Comes Next

It’s been a while since I’ve posted an update, and there’s a good reason for that. Over the past year, Wired Wits has been evolving. What started as a blog focused on AI and entrepreneurship is becoming something much more ambitious: a full platform of AI-powered tools that help people navigate a noisy, fast-moving world.

We’re still deeply rooted in the same mission, empowering individuals to think critically, act boldly, and build lives of intention. But the way we deliver on that mission is about to change in a big way.

What We’re Building

We’re now creating a one-stop platform for AI tools across three core pillars:

  • 🧠 Public Good – Tools that help people make sense of the world and reclaim truth in a sea of spin and misinformation.
  • 💼 Business Empowerment – Apps that support small businesses and entrepreneurs with insight, automation, and decision-making clarity.
  • 🧘 Everyday AI – Smart tools that simplify daily life so people can focus more on what matters.

Some of these tools are still in early development, and we’re being intentional about building the right foundation. But we’re finally getting close to launch, starting with the Public Good pillar.

Introducing Wits Newsroom

Wits Newsroom will be the first suite of tools to launch under the new Wired Wits platform, and it’s not just “a news app.”

It’s a new way to interact with news.

Our Interactive News App is designed to do more than just show you headlines—it’s here to help you understand them.

You’ll be able to:

  • Ask questions about the news to uncover deeper context.
  • Explore multiple angles of a story—across sources, regions, and potential biases.
  • Understand complex issues without needing to be an expert.
  • Spot spin and surface the information that matters most to you.

The system uses cutting-edge AI, trained on a vast amount of data up to June 2024. That means it won’t include breaking news or current events that have happened since—but what it can do is help you process stories, trends, and controversies with clarity and critical thinking.

For example:

  • You can ask “What led to the Ukraine-Russia conflict?” or “What were the arguments for and against student loan forgiveness?” and get a clear, nuanced summary of the major events and viewpoints.
  • You can explore “How was the Inflation Reduction Act supposed to work?” or “What were the main criticisms of Section 230?” and unpack the core debates.
  • Or take a headline from today and ask “What background do I need to understand this story?”—and get the foundational knowledge without wading through biased commentary or outdated clickbait.

This tool gives you the ability to understand multiple sides of an issue on your own terms—not through someone else’s lens. It’s about reclaiming your power to make sense of the world, instead of having it interpreted for you.

And this is just the beginning.

We’re also developing:

  • A citizen journalism toolkit to help everyday people create trustworthy, bias-aware content.
  • A legislation explainer tool to break down complex policies, flag buried changes, and cut through the chaos of Washington.

Because truth shouldn’t require a decoder ring—and you shouldn’t have to rely on spin to understand your own government.

Why It’s Been Quiet

If you’ve wondered why the blog hasn’t been updated lately—it’s because we’ve been heads down building. Like a lot of startups, we ran into our share of challenges: shifting timelines, contractor transitions, and the classic “almost done” development loop.

I kept waiting for the perfect moment to post.

Note to self, don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.

So this post is me saying: we’re still here. We’re still building. And it’s about to get really, really exciting. Take a look at our Tech Roadmap to get a look at a portion of the Wired Wits vision.

Coming Up Next

Stay tuned for:

  • A post on how to manage gig workers (and the lessons I’ve learned the hard way).
  • Free templates and tools to help founders navigate similar challenges.
  • Behind-the-scenes updates as we roll out Wits Newsroom and expand into new tools.

If you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you. Your support means everything and it’s time to resume the Fantastic Voyage.
If you’re just joining us, welcome. You’re right on time.

Let’s build something that matters.
